The competition will be open to the public. The competition is open to a maximum 10 solo dancers and 10 groups in each category. Participants will compete according to the order of the receipt date of the registration form and fee. In case the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the contest, the organizer reserves the right to request a video from the applicants and base on it the decision about their acceptance.

IMPORTANT: Only active festival participants are eligible for the competition – i.e. those who purchased at least one festival workshop (with Czech or international guest) or a package. The condition applies to solo contestants and each group member, excluding the children's and junior's category.
We advise you to book the workshop(s) in advance, since places for contestants are not automatically reserved.

All contestants have a 50% discount on Let's Dance Show ticket (July 17, 2020).

Times are approximate. The contestants will be informed about the competition schedule at least one week prior to the competition.

CHILDREN category (up to 13 years included) – SOLO

Dance styles: any style of Oriental Dance (from categories Oriental, Folklore, Fantasy & Show)

JUNIOR category (14-17 years included) – SOLO

song length: max 3:30 min.

Dance styles: any style of Oriental Dance (from categories Oriental, Folklore, Fantasy & Show)

CHILDREN & JUNIOR category (up to 17 years included) – GROUP

2 and more dancers up to 17 years included

song length: max 4:00 min.

Dance styles: any style of Oriental Dance (from categories Oriental, Folklore, Fantasy & Show)

ADULTS category (from 18 years)

    Classic and modern style of Raks Sharqi (instrumental and vocal songs including Oum Kalthoum's and other artists songs). Possibility of props involvement (max 0:30 min.).

Dance styles:

  1. Oriental
    Classic and modern style of Raks Sharqi (instrumental and vocal songs including Oum Kalthoum´s and other artists songs). Possibility of props involvement (max 0:30 min.).
  2. Folklore
    In the folklore category, only those oriental dance styles will be evaluated (it is possible to include props): saidi, traditional baladi, hagala, shaabi (except mahraganat shaabi!), dance with shamadan, iskanderani, dabke, nubian dance, falahi, khaleegy, bambouti, muwashahat, tanura, ghawazee, zaar and iraqi.
  3. Fantasy & Show
    Dance with props, theater concept with story, fusion with other dance styles. Let your imagination run wild...
